Mr. Oscar Storey died at his home near Atwater last Monday. He had been in declining health for several months.

  The funeral of Mr. Storey was held at Valley Grove Church Tuesday.
Rev. F.C. Howard officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Cemetery there. C.M. Pasley & Son, undertakers, having charge of arrangements.

  Mr. Storey was 45 years of age and leaves a family of several children.  The Woodmen of the World had charge of the exercises at the grave. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Oscar Edgar Storey was the son of 
Enoch Wesley Storey and Nancy W. Goyens.
Oscar was born 14 Jul 1879 in Upson Co GA;
died 4 Jan 1925 in Upson Co GA & buried at 
Valley Grove Cemetery 
Atwater Community Upson Co GA. 


He married Essie Mae McCard 
on 20 Jun 1897 in Upson Co GA.


Essie was the daughter of 
William Joseph McCard and Frances Ann Bailey. 
Essie was born 12 Apr 1880 in Upson Co GA; 
died 12 Jan 1935 in Upson Co & is also buried at 
Valley Grove Cemetery.


Their children were:
Edgar Burton Storey; Marvin Pope Storey; 
Ivy Carson Storey; Travis Woodson Storey;
Nettie Grace Storey; Lloyd Aldine Storey; Joel Wesley Storey.
