Mrs. Wilson Buried in Yatesville, Ga.
    Mrs. Mattie L. Wilson, widow of the late Dr. Sam Wilson, formerly of 
Yatesville, Ga., died in Chicago, Ill., on Tuesday, February 25.
    Mrs. Wilson was born in LaFayette, Ga., and after her marriage to Dr. 
Wilson made her home in Yatesville.
    At the time of her death, she was living with a daughter, Mrs. Mattie 
Sutley in Chicago.
    In addition to Mrs. Sutley, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. 
Franes Bush of Akron, O.; three sons, J. E. Wilson of Treasure Island, Fla., 
Robert A. Wilson of Arlington, Va., and Sam H. Wilson of Griffin.
    Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, February 27, from the 
Yatesville Baptist Church.  Burial was in the Methodist Church cemetery in 
Yatesville.
     Many of the relatives from Barnesville attended the services.
     Haisten Funeral Home of Griffin was in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Dr. Samuel Harrison Wilson was first married to Ella Jane Thurmond, daughter 
of William Harrison Thurmond, Jr. and Amanda Jane (Buff) Thurmond.  She died 
28 May 1899, and he married Mattie ca 1901, probably in Walker Co., GA.
