Job Allen (b.1827) enlisted at Crawford Co., GA as a private on Sept. 10, 1861 
Co. C, 27th Infantry Regiment Georgia.  He died of disease at Camp Pickens, VA 
on Dec. 28, 1861 according to Bible.  Confederate records show that he died 
Jan. 21, 1862.  Job was a resident of Upson Co. in 1850.  He married Sara 
Frances McMichael in Crawford Co., GA Sept. 14, 1856.  They had two children, 
John Westley Allen b. Sept. 6, 1858 and died Sept. 4, 1932; buried at Glenwood 
Cem., Upson Co., and Martha Elizabeth Allen b. Dec., 1859 and died Oct. 4, 
1930; buried at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, Okla.
