This is a photograph of Charles Henry Mitchell and Louisa "Lou" Howell Mitchell
of Upson County, Georgia.
 
Charles Henry Mitchell was born May 28, 1848 in Upson County, Georgia, the son
of Calvin M. Mitchell and Elizabeth Caraway Mitchell.  He married Louisa "Lou"
Howell on March 24, 1870 in Upson County.   He died on June 27, 1922 in Granite,
OK.  He and his wife are buried in the Rock Cemetery near Granite, OK.
 
Louisa "Lou" Howell was born August 16, 1845 in Upson County, Georgia, the
daughter of John Noah Howell and Elizabeth Martin Howell.  The Mitchell family
left Upson County, Georgia ca. 1890 for Hill County, Texas.  Ca. 1898 they moved
by covered wagons to Oklahoma.
