The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said John B Brown has this day made and delivered to me the said Basel Brown his certin promisary notes one for one thousand dollars to be come due on the twenty fifth day of December Eighteen Hundred and Seventy two one note for the sum of one Thousand and Seventy Dollars to become due on the twenty fifth day of December Eightteen Hundred and Seventy three. Now should the said John B Brown well and truly pay said promissary notes that I the said Basel Brown bind myself to make or cause to be made to the said John B Brown good & surficent titles in fee simple two and for Lot of land No. 32 sixteenth district formerly Houseton now Upson County containing two hundred two & half acres more or less with all the rits members and appertenes to the said land in any way appertaining and belonging to the same which I the said Basel Brown should _wo then this bond to be nul and void El__ to remain in full forse & and virtue. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 1st day of February 1878. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Baswell Brown is this day appointed Guardian to Ella Brown orphan of George W. Brown deceased; Now if the said Baswell brown do well and truly demean himself as guardian, agreeably to law in such case made and provided, the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Basel Brown Attested & Approved by J B Brown Wm Mobb, atty F M Shepherd Petition for Letters of Administraton No. 21 Georgia, Upson County To the Ordinary of said County: The petition of Dennis Shepherd respectfully showeth that Baswell Brown resident of said County, departed this life on the 1st day of August 1879 leaving your petitioner as his next of kin, and also leaving a large estate of real and personal property, worth the sum of three thousand dollars and at the time of his death the said Baswell Brown was entirely intestate, as your petitioner believes and herein allege: Wherefore, he prays the usual citation in such cases to issue, in order that he may obtain permanent Letters of Administration on the said estate, and your petitioners will ever pray. A Worrill, Ordinary Court of Ordinary, August Term 1880 Whereas, at the July term of this Court, an order was passed, upon the Petition of John B Brown praying that Dennis Shepherd Administrator upon the Estate of Baswell Brown deceasesd, might be required to execute to him titles to lot of land number 32 in 16th district originally Houston now Upson, and whereas, notice of said application has been published according to law, and no objections being filed to said proceedings. Therefore, it is hereby ordered, that said Dennis Shepherd as aforesaid, execute Titles to said John B Brown for said lot of land in conformity with the bond of said Baswell Brown deceased, made and executed in his lifetime. Amos Worrill Ordinary John B Brown Petition and Orders Minutes F State of Georgia} Upson County} To the Court of Ordinary of said County the petition of John B Brown showeth that theretofore to wit on the 19th day of september in the year 1872 Basel Brown of said county then in life now deceased made and executed to your petitioner his bond (a copy of which is to this petition annexed the original being her ein Court to be shown binding himself in the sum of four dollars conditioned to be void if the said Basel Brown should make or cause to be made to your petitioner Titles in fee simple to Lot of Land number thirty two in the sixteenth district of the county aforesaid containing two hundred two and half acres and your petitioner avers that on the 5th day of august 1879 without execution or causeing to be executed or providing by will or otherwise for title to be executed to your pettitioner to said Lot of Land and your Petitioner avers that that he paid the full amount of the purchase price of said lot of land to said Basel Brown during his lifetime and that he has performed faithfully his part of the contract under which said bond was given. A Worrill, Ordinary Upson Court of Ordinary May Term 1884 It appears to the Court that the citation for a discharge of Dennis Shepherd Administrator of Basel Brown's estate has been duly issued and published and it also appearing to the court from an examination of all the proceedings of said Dennis Shepherd administrator of Basel Brown's estate that he has fully and faithfully administered said estate and is legally entitled to a discharge from his administration, and no sufficient objection being offered to his discharged, It is ordered that he be discharged from his administration of Basel Brown's estate and that as evidence of this discharge letters of dismission issue to him. The petition of Dennis Shepherd Administrator of the estate of Basel Brown deceased showeth that in the month of March 1881 he paid to the eleven heirs at law of said estate the sum of one hundred and thirty seven dollars and thirteen cents each making a total of fifteen hundred and eight dollars and forty three cents as a part of the distributive share of each of said heirs in said estate for which he took profen vouchers. Petitioner further shows that by mistake he ommitted to credit himself with said several amounts in his regular annual return made and allowed at the June Term 1881 of the Court of Ordinary of said county. He therefore prays that said return be so ammended as to include said several account in the accounts paid out in said return which accou___ accompanies this petition.
