Brown Clerk of the Court of Ordinary to divide the real and personal estate of David Caldwell Senr have proceeded this day to divide the same in the following manner viz; have valued and assigned to Elizabeth Caldwell the widow of said Dec'd and the three youngest children to wit Patsy David A. and John F. Caldwell One Negro boy named Mose at #400.00 one Negro woman by the name of Viney & her child Joe @ 475.00 one-half of the tract of land to be run off by a line to turn due East then West including the improvements @ 450.00 which said Several Sums amounts to thirteen hunded & twenty five Dollars, also have valued and assigned to Mathew Caldwell Creed Caldwell Harrison V. Revill and Chancy Pitts one Negro Boy by the name of Tom at $475.00 one Negro Boy by the name of Charles at $400.00 and one Negro Boy by the name of Peter at $350.00 and the other half of said tract of land @ 225.00 which said Several amounts to fourteen hundred & fifty Dollars leaving a balance in favor of the widow and three youngest children of one hundred and twenty five Dollars to be paid by the said Mathew Caldwell Creed Caldwell Harrison V. Revill and Chancy Pitts the written division done in conformity with the written action given us by the Adm. & Adms of said Decd Given under our hands this 28th day of December 1827- -------James Hightower Edw.
