UPSON COUNTY, GA - Estate of Josiah A. Christie Copyright. All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Lisa Graham Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Notes: There are many receipts found in this file. To type them would take a long time, they show clothing, tuition, taxes, etc. This Estate, has no Will in the Paperwork. When Josiah died, it appears that Dolphin Davis took over as guardian for the 2 children, Amanda & Elizabeth Christie. This plainly shows why an ESTATE SETTLEMENT can range through MANY years. The first I find is dated 1841, I still see receipts dated until 1853. This was a long running settlement. I hope by looking at these records one will understand the facts surrounding Estate Records & what one can find in one single folder.
