I Hopkins Daniel of the County of Upson and State of Georgia being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish, and declare, this to be my Last Will and Testament: What is to say. First after all my lawfull debts are paid and discharged, the residue of my estate, both real and personal to be sold and appropriated(?) as follows to wit: [To my daughter Keturah Stanford I give five dollars: The remainder of my effects to be equally divided with my daughter Anny Daniel, the heirs of my daughter Tabitha Gordy and my son Royal Daniel Likewise I make, constitute, and appoint my son in law James Daniel guardian for the heirs of my daughter Tabitha, also to be executor of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. Their mothers maiden names were Echols, and their mothers were first cousins. Their daughter Tabitha married Lott Gordy 03/31/1825 in Monroe Co., Ga. Their daughter Ann (Anna/Anne/Anny) married James W. Daniel 03/26/1823 in Jasper Co., Ga. (Yes, a Daniel/Daniel marriage!) Their son Royal H.
