Wil oblige ??? will respectfully Albertine Denham – Denham Document #8 Georgia Upson County To the court of ordinary of said County: The petition of M.L Kelley, of said county, shows that on the _____ day of _____, 1870, one Daniel Denham , of said county, died testate leaving an estate in this state to be administered. That on the ____day of August, 1870, letters of Excutorship were granted to Geo W. Denham and Wm H Ray, by whom said estate was partially administered. But on account of the death of said Geo W. Denham and said W H Ray bring a citizen of the state of Texas and refusing to act. There is now no representative of said estate, and there remains yet to be administered part of the same, of the value of Twelve hundred and fifty dollars. Petitioner is next of kin of said Daniel Denham and has been selected as ??? by a majority of his heirs and prays the court, after the usual citation in that behalf, to appoint him administrator de bonis non with the will annexed of said estate. Kelley, of said state, having applied for letters of administration de bonis non with the will annexed on the estate of Daniel Denham, late of said county, deceased, this is to cite all and singular the heirs and creditors of said deceased to be and appear at the January Term, 1906, of the court of Ordinary of said county, to be held on the first Monday in January next, and show cause, if any they can, why such letters should not be granted. Of Upson County known as Caroline Ray place, and that for the purpose of distribution it is necessary to sell the said land. Wherefore petitioner prays an order directing citation to issue and be published as the law requires; and if no good cause be shown to the contrary, your petitioner be granted leave to sell said land. The written petition of M L Kelley a de bonis non with the will annexed of the estate of Daniel Denham deceased, praying for leave to sell the land of said deceased, having been duly filed, and it appearing that notice of the same has been published as required by law; that it is necessary for the purpose of distribution among the legatees that said land be sold, and no objection being filed thereto, it is ordered by the court that the said M.L. Kelley as a de bonis be, and he is hereby granted leave to sell, for the purpose aforesaid, the following described land of said deceased: 373 acres more or less in the 16th district of Upson county, known as the Caroline Ray place formerly owned by Daniel Denham, situated on the public road leading from Rowland to ???? forge bridge and bounded as follows: On the north by ?? land of Dr L M Johnson east by land of Dr LM Jonson ??? E.            1909 Document #1 Georgia, Upson County Know all men by these Presents, that we, G.E. Denham and E.J. Walls and R.B. Reevs, are bound unto J.E.F. Matthews, Ordinary of said county, and his successors in office, in the sum of Fifty-three & 6/100 ($53.06) dollars, for payment of which we bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns, jointly and severally. Signed, sealed, and delivered, this 13th day of November, 1909. The condition of the above bond is such, that if said G.E. Denham, the natural guardian of his children, Henry, Achsa, Aubrey, & Jamie to whom recently there has been given by will of William Holliman a pecuniary legacy of twenty-six & 53/100 ($26.53) dollars, shall well and truly demean himself according to law, as guardian of such funds, when received by him, then the above bond to be null and void; else to remain in full force. Denham, Natural Guardian of his children Henry, Achsa, Aubrey, & Jamie, having come into open court, and tendered to the court good bond and security, which is hereby accepted by the court, for the guardianship of a pecuniary legacy willed to said Henry, Achsa, Aubrey, & Jamie of Twenty Six & 53/100 dollars: It is ordered by the court that said bond be recorded and that G. E. Denham be and is hereby, vested with all the authority of guardian of this property; to receive the same, and manage it according to law J.E.F Matthews, Odinary. Georgia, Upson County Oath I, G. Denham, do swear that I will well and truly perform all the duties required of me as the Guardian of Henry, Achsa, Aubrey, and Jamie Denham, and will faithfully accounty with said Henry, Achsa, Aubrey and Jamie Denham for their and the estate. Document #2 This may be still a part of the first document State of Georgia, Upson County. To the Ordinary of said County: The petition of G.E. Denham shows: 1. That he is the Natural Guardian of his children, to wit: Henry, Achsa, Aubrey, and Jamie whose ages are respectively, 20, 16 (has a strike through and may have been corrected to read 17), 13, and 10 years, to whom there has been given by will of William Holliman, deceased, a pecuniary legacy of Twenty-six & 53/100 ($26.53) dollars. 2. Petitioner comes into open court and tenders to the court good bond and security, which he prays may be accepted by the court, and he prays that letters may be issued to him for the guardianship of said pecuniary legacy, and that petitioner be vested with all the authority of guardian of this property, to receive the same and manage it according to law. Sealed with our seals, and dated this second day of April 1866 The condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bound Mary Amanda Denham do make a true and perfect inventory of the goods, chattels, rights, credits, lands and tenements, of John A Denham late of said county, deceased, which have or shall come into the hands, possession, or knowledge of the said Mary Amanda Denham or the hands or possession of any person, or persons, for ??? and the same, so made, do exhibit unto the said Ordinary, when she shall be hereunto required; and such goods, chattels, credits, lands, and tenements, do well and truly administer, according to law, and do make a just and true account of her actings and doings therin, when she shall thereunto be required by the court shall deliver and pay to such person, or persons, respectively, as they may be entitled to the same by law and if it shall hereafter appear that any last will and testament was made by the deceased, and the same be proven before the court of ordinary, and the executor obtain a certificate of the probate thereof, and that said Mary Amanda Denham in such case, if required, render and deliver up the said letters of Administration, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in full force. Denham, Simeon           1874 Document #1 Letters of Guardianship - Georgia, Putnam County By the honorable the ordinary of said county, To Albertine Denham greeting: whereas, Daniel Denham, Lucy Ann, and Elizabeth Denham orphan of Simeon Denham is possessed in their own right of considerable estate – by means whereof, the power of granting the Guardianship of said orphan to me is manifestly know to belong – and for the better securing the estate, and more ample maintenance and education of the said orphan, and from integrity and confidence reposed in you, I do hereby commit the tuition, education, and guardianship of the said orphan to you, the said Daneel, Lucy Ann E, and Elizabeth Denham. (you assenting thereto by the acceptance of these letters,) herein charging you, that you maintain them in meat, drink, clothing and lodging; that you cause them to be educated in such manner as shall be suitable to their interest and circumstances; and that you enquire into and take charge of their estate, both real and personal, and all other things do, which by law you ought to do for your said ward.
