Amen. I Mildridge Harper of the County & State aforesaid, being in a low state of health, but of sound mind & knowing the uncertainty of life, and the certainty of death do make this my last will and testament. Item the 1st I give my soul to God who gave it & my body to its Mother dust. Item 2nd I give all of my stock, household & kitchen furniture to my beloved husband Sherrard Harper. Item 3rd I wish my land to be sold & after paying my burial expenses and all of my just debts, I give the balance of the money the land brings to my brother John Caraway, or he can pay my debts & burial expenses & take the land as he may choose.
