All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Lisa Graham Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm In the name of God, Amen, I Davis Long of the County of Upson and State of Georgia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and being desires to settle my worldly affairs, while I have strength to do so, do make and publish this my last Will & Testament, hereby revoking all Wills by me at any time heretofore made, and First I commit my soul to God who gave it, and my body, I desire to be buried in a Christian like manner in the buried grounds of BETHEL CHURCH- and after paying all my just debts, I dispose of my worldly estate as follows: To my son, JESSE I give and bequeath the gray mule I now own. To my son, THOMAS, I give and bequeath enough of my property or money to purchase him a good mule.- To my daughter SARAH C. I give and bequeath a milk cow named Lilly, to my daughter NANCY, I give and bequeath a milk cow named Smokey, and to my wife Julianne A. I give and bequeath all my property not before mentioned both real & personal for & during her natural life; with this provision, to wit, that my sons, WILLIAM, JESSE & THOMAS and my Daughters, SARAH C. & NANCY will have a support out of the proceeds of my estate so long as they remain on our farm and cultivate it for the support and maintenance of their mother and after the decease of my wife then all the property be divided share & share alike between the above named children "to wit, William, Jesse, Thomas, Sarah C. & Nancy H.-" And I hereby appoint as the executor to this my last will and testament my sons, DRURY L. LONG & William Long. In witness whereof I the said Davis long have to this my last will consisting of one sheet of paper, set my last hand and seal this 27th day of Sept. 1882 Davis Long X his mark SEALED Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Davis Long as his Last Will and Testament in presence of us, who at his request in presence of each other have subscribed in our names by witnesses hereto- F.
