Collier security are held and firmly bound unto their Honors the Justices of the Inferior Court sitting for Ordinary purposes for said County, and their successors in office and assigns in the just and full sum of four thousand dollars for the payment of which sum to the said Court of Judges and their successors in office we bind ourselves, our heirs executors and administrators in the whole and for the whole sum jointly and severally and firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 1st day of May 1837 ~ The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Robert Collier admr. of the good chattels and credits of Harrison Smith late of Upson County deceased which have or shall come into the hands possession or knowledge of the said Robert Collier or the hands or possession of any person or persons for him and the same so made do exhibit unto the said Court of Ordinary, where he shall be thereunto required: and such goods chattels and credits do well and truly administer according to law, and do make a just and true account of his actings and doings therein when he shall thereunto be required by the Court, shall deliver and pay to such person or persons respectively as they may be entitled to the same by law; And if it shall hereafter appear that any last will and testament was made by the deceased and the same be proven before the Court of Ordinary and Executor obtain a certificate of the probate thereof and the said Robert Collier in such case if required under and deliver up the said letters of administration, then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force ~ Robert Collier {LS} Wm.
