THWEATT Georgia Upson County By virtue of an order from the Honorable The Inferiors of said County when sitting for Ordinary Purposes authorizing and requiring us to make distribution of the Estate of the late Kinchin P. Thweatt deceased among the distributees entitled to said Estate we proceeded this day to the performance of that duty - there were Eight distributees towit. Robert M. Jackson, John S. Searcy and James Thweatt of full age. Kinchin P. Thweatt, Virginia C. Thweatt, Sarah A. Thweatt, Victoria M. Thweatt and William B. Thweatt, minor children of said deceased. Kinchin P. Thweatt, Virginia C. and William B. Thweatts interests were represented by James Thweatt their Guardian - the interest of Sarah Antoinette was represented by Robert M. Jackson her Guardian and the interest of Victoria M. was represented by John S. Searcy her Guardian - The Shares were numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 and were assigned to the distributees in the following manner towit the names of the distributees were written on a piece of paper and placed in a hat, the numbers were written on another piece of paper and put in another hat, the hats were both well shaken, a name was then drawn from the hat containing the names, then a number was drawn from the hat containing the numbers and in that manner continued till all were drawn: the following is the result. No. 1 James Thweatt Guardian of Kinchen P. Thweatt No. 2 John S. Searcy Guardian of Victoria M. Thweatt No. 3 James Thweatt No. 4 James Thweatt Guardian of William B. Thweatt No. 5 Robert M. Jackson No. 6 Robert M. Jackson Guardian of Sarah A. Thweatt No. 7 James Thweatt Guardian of Virginia C. Thweatt No. 8 John S. Searcy (There follows the contents of each share) December 14th 1849 M. H. Sandwich Edward Taylor Thomas Flewellen NOTE: He died 13 Jan 1849 - he is buried in Glenwood Cemetery. Kinchen was married twice - first to Elizabeth Reese and second to Eliza Harris. Two of the children by the first marriage were Elizabeth (who married the Robert Jackson mentioned in the distribution) and Martha Jane (who married John S. Searcy also mentioned in the distribution). The remaining distributees were kids from the 2nd marriage. James Thweatt married Elizabeth Virginia Flewellen, Kinchen P. Thweatt Jr. married Eugenia Flewellen and Victoria Monroe Thweatt married Thomas A. Flewellen - 2 brothers and a sister to two sisters and a brother!! Also Virginia C. Thweatt married Wych Jackson and Sarah A. Thweatt married William Harrison Searcy.
