Mrs Georgia Bowman Deering, 75, of LaFayette GA died Saturday morning in a Rome 
Ga hospital. Mrs. Deering is survived by one daughter Mrs Carroll J. Klein, of 
Pittsburg, California and and one son, William J. (Bill) Deering, of Rt2, 
LaFayette; four Sisters; Mrs Pinkie McKeehan of Menlo,GA; Mrs Decie Hester of 
Chesterfield, AL; Mrs Virginia Deering of Cloudland, GA, Mrs Becky Burgess of 
Piedmont, AL; three brothers, John Bowman, Gus Woodson, both of Blanche, AL and 
Anderson Bowman of Chesterfield, Al. Seven Grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
Funeral servicies will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Waltnut 
Grove Baptist Church with Rev B. A. Buchanan and Rev John Paul Parker 
officating. Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery near LaFayette. 
Active pallbearers will be Lee Coker, Charlie Bowman,Gordon Duncan, Archie 
Coker, Jeff Evitt and James Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be Edra Sunday 
School Class and Willing Workers Sunday School Class. The body will be taken to 
the residence of her son, Bill Deering, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, where it 
will remain until funeral services. Arrangements are by the National Funeral 
Hime.
