He was 39 years old. He leaves a wife, three children, father and sister, who are mourned at his passing, but are comforted by the thoughts of the life he lived. Brother Boyd was of a quiet, unassuming disposition, but was ever ready to do a good deed in the name of his Master and for his fellowman. He was loyal to the church of his choice, and its membership in every respect. Be it resolved: That the church has lost one if its truest and most conscientious members; that the community has lost one of its most trusted and tried friends. We would say to his family, "Weep not, for your loss is God's eternal gain." The Lord gave to you - him For just a short while To live this life noble, With trusting and a smile. And then He saw fit, To take him away, And end his great suffering For just one more day. We recommend that these presentments be spread on our church minutes; one copy be given to the family and one be printed in the Walker County Messenger. D.L. Parker, H.E. Hankins, J.L.
