Bush, and Reese Watkins having been duly appointed and selected by the heirs and distribution of Joseph Bradford deceased to wit: Jefferson Bradford, Samuel Hailes in right of his wife Elizabeth, Martin Childers in right of his wife Martha, Josiah H. Ragan in right of his wife Julia Ann formerly Julia Ann Kent and a daughter of Mary Kent formerly Mary Bradford, Joseph Kent and William Kent sons of the said Mary. The said Joseph and William Kent being represented by their Attorney in Fact Josiah H. Ragan and Margaret Bradford to divide the negros of the Estate of said deceased among said heirs do hereby certify that we did this day proceed to the discharge of the duty assigned and divided the said negros into five lots. Lot 1 consisting of Larkin, Martha, Ann, Winney and Manerva valed at nineteen hundred dollars. Lot 2 consisting of Lewis, Mariah and child Simon and Elisha valued at ninetenn hundred fifty dollars. Lot 3 sonsisting of Charles, Betty, and Salina valued at seventeen hundred seventy-five dollars. Lot 4 consisting of Wyatt, Huldah, and Seaborn valued at eighteen hundred seventy-five dollars. Lot 5 consisting of Edmond, Amy and Lucy valued at seventeen hundred seventy-five dollars. We further certify that Lot 1 was drawn by Margaret Bradford the widow, Lot 2 was drawn by Samuel Hales, Lot 3 was drawn by Jefferson Bradford, Lot 4 was drawn by Josiah H. Ragan for himself and the other children of Mary Kent and Lot 5 was drawn by Martin Childress in right of his wife Martha. Given under our hand this 3rd day of December 1847. William W. Ragan is the husband of Julia Ann Kent whos mother is Mary "Polly" Bradford daughter of Joseph Bradford. He is acting in the behalf of his deceased mother-in-law's heirs. Mary "Polly" Bradford married Jesse Kent in Oglehtorpe County January 20, 1821 and moved to Walton County Georgia.
