All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenwebarchives.org *********************************************** 1825, 3-9-1825 or 1824?, Shaw (Jackson Co) to Joshua Callahan (Newton Co), $200, 100 acres LDS 262556 Walton Co GA Deeds Book O, page 591 ===================================================================== Georgia Newton County This Indenture made this the ninth date of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five between Joseph Shaw of the one part of the State aforesaid in the County of Jackson and Joshua Callahan of the same State and County of Newton of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of two hundred dollars in hand paid by Joshua Callahan the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that I have this day bargained sold and conveyed unto sd Callahan and do by these presents bargain, sell and convey one hundred acres of land by the same more or less it being part of a tract of land granted to Baker adjoining Paton Mobley and Ledford Mobley on the South and Baker and sd Shaw's land on the north beginning on a post oak running West to a red stake thence a strait line to a black [illegible] on Fidlers trail thence to a lightwood stake thence to a post oak at L. Mobley's fence thence to the beginning Corner. To have and to hold all that tract or parcel of land and all and singular and the premises and appurtenances or anything thereunto belonging or appertaining unto the Said Joshua Callahan his heirs and assigns forever. The sd Shaw do and will warrant and forever defend the sd tract of land from all and every person or persons whatsoever unto the said Joshua Callahan his heirs and assigns forever in fee Simple.
