This file was contributed by: Linda Laminack gabby@etinternet.com ==================================================================== Walton County, Georgia Superior Court Deed and Mortgages 1819 - 1844 Book H p136 March 25, 1829 State of Georgia / Walton County, Georgia Know all men by their presents that I Joseph Hughey of the County and State aforesaid for the good will and affection I have and bar toward my two youngest children Ephraim Hughey and Susan Hughey have do this day give, grant and bequeath unto the said Ephraim and Susan the following property: two negro children known by the name of Eliza and Rudy, both girls about seven or eight years of age and one tract of land lying in the said county of Walton, in the first district known as the place of said first district known as the place of said first district by lot number 67 containing two hundred and fifty acres to have and to hold said property from the death of the said Joseph Hughey and it is understood that I the said Joseph do reserve the right of the use and labor of said negro girls so long as I shall live and also the right of disposing by transfer of the lot of land should I be so disposed and can get a fair price for the same but not of the negroes.
