He was born January 29, 1761. He enlisted while he lived in Duplin County, Georgia, under Captain Rhodes, Colonel Little, Major Blount, and Lieutenant H____ Holmes. He married Bethena Odom August 23, 1785. John Holly, a justice of the peace of Sampson County, Georgia, performed the ceremony Benjamin Harris died December 30, 1840, in Walton County, Georgia.
