The fatal deed was accomplished by means of a pocket knife, and the wound was inflicted just about the heart, severing the heart’s strings. Wood lived only three minutes. The dead boy was the son of an aged and highly respected citizen, and the young boy who now awaits the decision of the court, is a member of a large and widely known family.
