The Georgia Enterprise April 4, 1889
     John Weathers, who killed his brother last Christmas, was taken from 
Monroe jail, and he goes up for three years. It is a short service for the 
homicide of his brother. He leaves a wife and several small children and wife 
in rags clinging to a departing father in stripes, was indeed a sad spectacle.
