BENTLEY DIES AT HOME WEDNESDAY Funeral services were held this Thursday Afternoon, at 2 o'clock from the Bay Creek Baptist Church, for Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Bentley of Monroe, Route 3. Mrs. Bentley lived in the Bold Springs Community. She was 78 years old at the time of her death, Wednesday afternoon. She had been ill only about a week. Born in 1862, in Douglas County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Isaac Bullock and Betsey Anne Pritchett. She was a woman of noble characteristics, a good mother and a true friend who will be sincerely mourned by many. The Rev. Jim Rasnake officiated at funeral service and burial was in the Bay Creek Cemetery the E.L. Almand Company in charge. Surviving are seven children: Messrs. E.O. Bentley, Bethlehem, Route 2, W. A. Bentley, Grayson, R. I. Bentley, Winder, G. C. Bentley, Loganville, Rt. 1, C. E. Bentley and Misses Myrtie and Mary Bentley, Monroe, Route 3. A brother Joseph Bullock of Loganville, Route 2, also survives. Additional Comments: The notice in the paper gives her name as Nancy Elizabeth, but it is Mary Elizabeth. All surviving children are deceased.
