I. Bentley Succumbs to Long Illness Last rites for Mr. William Isaac Bentley, who died at his home near Bold Springs Tuesday, December 30, were held at Bay Creek church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr. Bentley was 67 years old, and had been in failing health for three months. Rev. J. H. Wood, of Winder and Rev. Rasnake, of Atlanta, conducted the rites. Burial was in the Bay Creek cemetery. Mr. Bentley was a member of a prominent family, a member of the Universalist church, and an outstanding citizen of his community. Surviving him are his wife and the following children: R. I. Bentley, of Lawrenceville; C. E. and G. C. Bentley of Loganville; E. C. Bentley of Bethlehem; W. A. Bentley, of Monroe, and M. E. and Mary Bentley of Bold Springs. The following brothers and sisters also survive him: C. R. Bentley, of Anniston, Ala..; J. R. Bentley of Logansville; W. J. and H. L. Bentley of Winder; V. M. and V. E. Bentley of Monroe R. F. D.; Mrs. A. B. Smith of Monroe; Mrs. D. L. Still of Logansville, Mrs. W. D. Still of Winder and Mrs. L. M. Watson of Grayson. The E. L. Almand Co. had charge of the funeral arrangements Additional Comments: Copied from a newspaper clipping of Mary Bentley Daniels and Myrtie Bentley Mitchem, both are now deceased. There was no date on the clipping. All children, brothers and sisters are deceased.
