Walton Tribune, Monroe, Georgia  Oct. 12, 1978
	Mrs. Myrtie Bentley Mitchem of Route Three Monroe, died at Walton 
County Hospital Oct. 6.
 	Rev. H. T. Johnson officiated at funeral services at Bay Creek Baptist 
Church in Loganville, Oct. 7 Interment was in the Bay Creek Cemetery under 
direction of White Columns Funeral Homes. Paul Bentley, Mell Bentley, Sam 
Tribble, Gene Biddy, Grady Bentley and Marvin Gravitt served as pallbearers.
	Mrs. Mitchem was born in Walton County Sept. 1892 to William Isaac 
Bentley and Elizabeth Bullock Bentley. She was a member of the Universalist 
Church and the widow of the Late Griff M. Mitchem.
	 Survivors include brothers Elbert O. Bentley, Lawrenceville and 
Richard I Bentley, Monroe, stepsons Howard Mitchem, Inman Mitchem, Marietta, 
and George Mitchem, Fla., sister Mary B. Daniel, Monroe, stepdaughter Mrs. O. 
L. (Janie Johnson) of Jonesboro.

Sister and brothers are deceased.
