Sluder, of Social Circle, a gallant soldier, and member of Confederate Vereran's Association, who lost a leg in the late war, died quite suddenly at the home of Esquire Jack Smith, in Brick Store district on Friday. He stopped his wagon in which he carries goods to peddle, and went in the house to rest, the stump of his lost leg paining him greatly. Esquire Smith did all in his power to allay the pain, but to no avail,as Mr. Sluder died in short time after he entered the house.
