Garrett Ordinary for Said County. Whereas, J.W. Dalton late of said County, deceased, died intestate, living whilst he lived and at the time of his death, considerable property within the said State; and it being proper, right and necessary that the property of the said deceased should be collected and taken care of, until a citation in due form of law can issue, and it be ascertained to whom the right of administration doth appertain; I do, therefore, here ordain, depute and constitute J.H. Dalton with full power by the tenor of these presents to collect and take care of the moneys, goods, chattels, and other property of the said J.W. Dalton deceased, and the same safely to keep until it can be ascertained to whom the right of administration doth belong, and thereupon the said J.H. Dalton immediately to deliver up the said moneys, goods, chattels and other property to whomsoever the Court shall commit the administration of the Estate of said deceased, agreeably to law. In Testimony, Whereof, I have hereunto affixed my signature as Ordinary for said County, and seal of office, this 22 day of November, 1940. G.A. Dalton are held and firmly bound unto G.A. Garrett, Ordinary of said County, and to his successors in office, in the sum of $500.00 Dollars and NO Cents, to the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, Executors and Administrators, of us and each of us, firmly by these presents. Subscribed with our hands, and sealed with our seals, this 22 day of Nov 1940 The Condition of the above Bond or Obligation is such, That whereas the above bound J.H. Dalton has this day applied to the said G.A. Garrett Ordinary, for, and has obtained Temporary Letters of Administration of the goods and chattels, rights and credits of J.W. Dalton deceased. Now if the above bound J.H. Dalton shall carefully collect and preserve from waste or loss, all the goods or chattels and effects of the said J.W. Dalton deceased, and make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all such Estate, and the same being so preserved, do surrender up such Estate and Effects, with the Inventory aforesaid, unto the legal and proper Administrator, on or by the first Monday in Jan next, or so soon thereafter as the Ordinary shall direct, with all his other actings and doings therein, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force of the law.
