WARE COUNTY GA Biography William Joseph Gassett File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Winge barbarawinge@yahoo.com http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/ware/bios/strickland2.txt WILLIAM JOSEPH GASSETT William Joseph Gassett is a contractor and builder, who has just completed the erection of six handsome and very attractive cottages in the O'Quinn subdistrict Southeast of the city, near the A. C. L. Hospital. Mr. Gassett has been in the contracting business for fifteen years and he is thorough in the management of his work and always give desirable results. His office and address is 74 Thomas Street, which is also his place of residence. Contractor Gassett is a native of Muscogee County, Georgia. He was born November 16, 1870. His father's name was Marion and his mother's Martha. His mother was a Miss Hollis, whose parents were farmers. Subject of this sketch is an Odd Fellow; owns his residence 74 Thomas Street and three other houses on the same street, owns three cottages in Gilchrist's Bonita Subdivision; brick store building near the Second Methodist Church; some unimproved residence property on Brewer Street, some on Margaret and some in the Bonita Subdivision; and ____ residence property, and also a field of twenty acres one and one half miles south of the A. C. L. Depot that could be utilitized as a truck farm. Mr. Gassett invites correspondence in regard to any or all of this property, as it is on the market and for sale and if you want any kind of building erected communicate with him and he will do the rest to your satisfaction.
