WARE COUNTY GA Biography Simon W. Hitch File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Winge barbarawinge@yahoo.com http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/ware/bios/hitch.txt SIMON W. HITCH In Hon. Simon W. Hitch, Waycross has a worthy and highly respected citizen. Quiet in demeanor, highly cultured and thoroughly reliable, with a few more years on his head he would be considered a gentleman of the "Old School." Col. Hitch has long been attorney for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, and has the entire confidence of this great company. He is a successful lawyer and an upright man; always first in deeds of charity and acts of kindness. His name has been mentioned in connection with positions of honor and trust, but Mr. Hitch is no politician. He takes great interest in church work and is a pillar of the First Methodist congregation. He has been one of the architects of Waycross and is still doing fine work in behalf of the Magic City.
