Lovelace, D. D. S., whose office is in the Redding building, was born near LaGrange, in Troup County, April 17, 1868. His parents were named James and Sarah (nee Embry). His father owns a tannery, is a shoe manufacturer, a farmer, and a Mason. Subject of this sketch attended school at Hamilton and at the State of Georgia Agricultural and Mechanical College. He took his first course in dentistry at the Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn., and graduated from the Dental Department Southern Medical College, Atlanta, in 1892. In 1893 he took a Post Graduate course in Carpenters Post Graduate School in Atlanta. His first practice was at Hamilton and Chipley. He came here January 12, 1898. Dr. Lovelace is a Past Sachem and Prohem of the Red Men and Past Councillor of the I. O. W. A. M., and a member of the Methodist Church; owns a tasty home at 35 Reed Street. He married Miss Lucy, daughter of Thomas J. and Susie Brooks. Little Miss Sarah is their only child. His reputation as a dentist is among the best in the State.
