C. M. Sweat

C. M. Sweat was born in Ware county, nine miles east of
Waycross. His father was Captain James A. Sweat and his
mother's name is Serena. She is the daughter of Martin J.
and Nancie Miller. Mr. Sweat attended the Waycross High
School under Mrs. P. Oleman and Prof. Roach. Mr. Sweat is
a dealer in naval stores and real estate, and was elected
President of the Exchange Bank of Waycross, in August
last year. He is also a member of the City Council, is a
Past Master Mason, a member of the First Methodist
Church, member of the firm of Sweat, McDonald & Parker;
owns large turpentine tracts in Florida, Alabama and
Texas.
