WARE COUNTY GA Biography Leon A. Wilson File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Winge barbarawinge@yahoo.com http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/ware/bios/wilson.txt LEON A. WILSON Hon. Leon A. Wilson, City Attorney, and one of the most prominent members of the bar in the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, was elected to represent Ware County in the General Assembly of the State in 1891, upon the prohitition issue, the contest becoming a memorable one. His victory, however, was complete. Col. Wilson has steadily risen in his profession of law and today stands equal to those who lead the practice not only in South Georgia, but in the State. He is attorney for the city of Waycross, and his wise councels and his conservatism, just decisions and interpretation of the law, are the bulwark of our City Government. As a citizen he has the respect of the entire community. A man without guile; true to his friends and true to his home and his town. Such men as Leon A. Wilson are the salt of the earth.
