E. Smith of Ware County, State of Georgia, who being duly sworn, says on oath that he is a bona fide citizen and reside of said State, and has resided therein continuously ever since the 28 day of March 1844; that he enlisted in the military service of the Confederate States (or of the State of Ga.) during the war between the states, and served as a private in Company F., of 26th Regiment of military service in the State of _______________, on the _____________ day of _________ 186 , he was wounded, injured or diseased as follows: Contracted rheumatism rendering applicant permently disabled. Desponent makes application for the pension to which he is entitled for the year ending October 26th, 1899. I have heretofore under said law as a resident of Ware County been allowed an invalid pension of 5 Dollars, for the year 189 . Sworn to and subscribed before me, this, the ] A. E. Smith the applicant in the foregoing affidavit, and am well satisfied that the statements made by him the said affidavit are true, and I know he is the individual he represents himself to be and that he resides in this County. Smith of Ware County, State of Georgia, who being duly sworn says on oath that he was born on the 28th day of March 1844, that he is a bona fide citizen and resident of Georgia, and has been continuously since the 28th day of March 1844. That he enlisted in the military service of the Confederate States (or the State of ___________, Georgia) during the war between the States, and served as a private in Company "F" of 26th Regiment Georgia Volunteers Evan's Brigade; that whilst engaged in military service, and in the line of duty in the State of Georgia, on the ___ day of January 1862, he was disabled or wounded as follows: While stationed on St. Simons Island he was taken with rheumatism which impelled to stop army duty. Said disease has rendered him unable to perform labor of any character. =============== Application for Pension Due to a Deceased Pensioner (To Be Paid to the Ordinary for Expenses of Funeral and Last Illness) (Under Act Approved August 15, 1904) GEORGIA, WARE COUNTY. Personally before me, the Ordinary of said County, come J. H. Johnson- of said County, who, after being sworn, on oath that he knew Mrs. A. W. Smith of said County, and that said Pensioners was on the Pension Roll of said County at the time of death, which occured in Bacon County, in the this State, on the 10th, day of February 1930, and that a pension of __________ ($____) Dollars was due pensioner and did at the time of pensioner's death, and that pensioner's death, and that pensioner left no widow or dependent children surviving, and no estate of any value sufficient to pay these funeral expenses, which amounted to the sum of $100, sworn statements fully and completely ITEMIZED! hereto attached. Mattox, Ordinary of said County, do certify that I personally know J. H. Johnson, who is a resident citizen of said county, and that said person is of truthful, and trustworthy character, entitled to full faith and crdit; that I also knew Mrs. A. E. Smith- while in life and that this is the same person whose name appears on the Pension Roll of WARE County, and that a Pension of __________ ($200___) Dollars in said County for 1929, and I now believe said pensioner to be dead; and that the instructions at the fool of said voucher have been carefully observed in making up this voucher and the bills which are attached therein.
