One of the most enjoyable children's parties given in some time was that of Miss Thelma Dickins, the pretty little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Dickins, at their home on Brunel street, Monday afternoon, from 5 to 8 o'clock, in celebration of her eighth birthday. The attractive home was made more so with its decorations of ferns, evergreens, and cut flowers. Many games afforded great pleasure for an hour or two. In "the Chinaman and his pigtail" contest, after many and vigorous attempts to pin the tail on correctly, little Miss Rosalie Toomer won the prize, a pretty picture. Miss Lucile Rippard was given the bobby, a paper fan. At the close of the games the diningroom was thrown open where was seen a bright, long table loaded with good things, in the center of which was the birthday cake surrounded with eight lighted candles. he little hostess received a number of pretty gifts. Among those who enjoyed her hospitality were Misses Ellie Knight, Lucile Reppard, Katie Fesperman, Margie Philipps, Inez Ellington, Christine Bibb, Frances Stanton, Florence Andrews, Edmee Wells, Lavinia Young, Fannie Knight, Viola Ratcliff, Rene Merrill, Dorothy Tanner, Mary Fendt, Esther Benton, Beryl Singleton, Rosalie Toomer, Annie Lois Seals, Masters Harry Benton, William Toomer, Alex Louther, Kenneth Merrill, Wadley Sharpe, Edward Crawley, cargyle Brinson, John Henry Lott, John Cox, Jr., Robert Brinson, and Arthur Lott.
