The Waycross Headlight, page 1

     The Woman's Christian Temperance Union, organized in Waycross by Miss
Jennie Smith, will hold its first meeting for a more perfect organization at the
Methodist church, next Thursday afternoon promptly at half past five o'clock.
Those who were elected officers are especially requested to be present, and all
interested are cordially invited to attend, irrespective of denomination. The
work of this organization is one that appeals to the hearts of all christian
women, who realize that systematized united effort can accomplish great good for
"God and Home and Native Land."
