Barker Sr., 1944 Wacona Dr. The occasion, held in observance of the golden anniversary of the entry of the United States into World War I, will bring veterans of the war and their families of the area, together. Mrs. Barker, hostess, who is also chaplain for the Department of Georgia, said the Ladies Auxiliary to Barracks 1686 will assist with the reception. The event will begin at 8 p.m. and she urges all veterans and their families to attend. MRS. W.I. Pirkle will be in charge of music for the evening. The receiving line will be composed of auxiliary president, Mrs. W.S. Williams and other past presidents; Cmdr. M.B. Hoót of Barracks 1686 and past commanders. A feature of the evening, according to Mrs. Barker, will be a display of relics of World War I. She invites gentlemen and ladies to take their mementoes.
