OBITUARY
BETTY COLVIN BARKER
	Betty Colvin Barker, 77, of Waycross, died Saturday morning (May 6, 
2006) at Satilla Regional Medical Center.
	Born in Waycross to the late Roy and Lucille Altman Colvin, she made 
her home in Waycross all of her life.
	Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, 
Richard Eugene Barker.  She was a homemaker, a former member of the Garden 
Club, worked with the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and was a member of Sweat 
Memorial Baptist Church.
	One of her favorite hobbies was attending Square Dance with her 
husband.
	Survivors include one son, Gene Barker (wife De), of Black Mountain, 
N.C.; two daughters, Linda B. Thomas (husband Ljubie Terriell), of Thomaston, 
Debbie Winder (husband Harry), of Waycross; her grandchildren Keith Barker, of 
Savannah, Niki Adams (husband Rev. Keith) of Thomaston, and Paul Winder (wife 
Landi), of Blackshear; great-grandchildren, Erica, Kensie, and Holden Adams, 
of Thomaston;  one brother, Roy Colvin (wife Nadine), of Waycross; four 
sisters Carol Cockrell, of Gainsville, Fla., Mary Frances Morgan (husband 
Johnny), of Waycross, Jackie Hall (husband Cecil), of Blackshear and Sue Adams 
(husband Tony), of Jasper, Ga.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
	A funeral was held at 11 this morning at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church.
	Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
	Mile-Odum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements,
