GA. - OBIT: Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd Submitted by Barbara Walker Winge Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd Waycross Journal Herald, June 6, 1942 Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd, 87, affectionately known as "Big Mama" died Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Calvin Parker on Gilmore Street. She was the daughter of Dr. J. A. Huddleston and Martha Head Huddleston and was born in Meriwether County, near Greenville, Georgia, in 1854. Besides her daughters in Waycross, Mrs. Calvin C. Parker and Mrs. S. W. Walker, there are two other daughters, Mrs. H. E. Lucas of Lakeland, Florida, and Mrs. Lena LaRue of New York City, also a number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren... Active pallbearers will be John Youngblood, Sam Charaker, Sr., Dan Bibb, Claude Bates, Charlie Andrews, Erin Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be L. B. Harrell, R. B. Zackery, James Kellam, John Quarterman, Frank Smith, John M. Cox, J. A. Sasser, and Frank Aitcheson.
