 Luther Billy Day, 77, of Waycross died July 5, 2008 at his residence following 
an extended illness.
 He was a native of Berrien County and had lived in Ware County since 1952. He 
was preceded in death by his parents, W. E. "Bill" and Nadell Jones Day, two 
sons, Jimmy Day and Eric Day, two grandsons, Justin and Jason Day, brother, 
Tuten Day. He owned and operated Day Heating and Air Conditioning in Waycross 
for 40 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Frank C. Folks 
Lodge 305 and Waycross Shrine Club.
 Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Day of Waycross; daughter, 
Gail Wiley of Blackshear; sons and one daughter in law, Darrell and Evie Day of 
Blackshear and David Day of Waycross; brother and sister in law,Smokey and 
Diane Day of Nashville; sister and brother in law, Dorothy and Steve Piazza of 
Statesboro; 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, several nieces and 
nephews and other relatives.
 Funeral services were held July 8 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Smith Funeral 
Home in Blackshear.
 Interment was in Ben James Cemetery.
 Smith Funeral Home of Blackshear was in charge of arrangements.
