Negro Crushed To Death

Waycross, Ga., Dec. 18 – Jim Hayes, a negro, went into the woods near Argyle, 20
miles west of here, to cut cross ties.  A tree fell on him, breaking both legs
and one arm, from the effects of which death followed almost instantly.
