Johnson Dies; Rites Wednesday Aaron Otis (Ot) Johnson, 67, former mayor and city commis- sioner and a former postmaster of Waycross, died last night in a local hospital following an extended illness. A native of Bacon County, he was the son of the late James Luther Johnson and Courtney Smith Johnson. Johnson was a retired druggist and operated pharmacies here and in Black- shear and was at one time a partner in an auto agency. Johnson was a former member and a past president of the Exchange Club of Waycross. He was a member of Frank C. Folks Lodge No. 192 F. & A.M. and a member of Hasan Shrine Temple. He served as postmaster here from 1934 to 1943. He served on the city commission in 1932 and became mayor in 1934 resigning to become postmaster. Johnson is survived by his widow, the former Miss Myrtle James of Waycross; two brothers, Erin W. Johnson and B. E. Johnson, both of Waycross; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Miles- Odom Funeral Home Chapel.
