Georgia Thomas "Tollie" Joyner Born 14 June 1895 Died 18 January 1959 Tolly T. Joyner, 63, died last night at his residence in Darlington Heights in Waycross, Georgia. Joyner was a retired shipfitter in the Navy and was an employee of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad for 23 years. He was a native of Brantley County and was the son of the late Joe and Georgia (Pearson) Joyner. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Hortense. He had been a resident of Waycross for six years, moving here from Charleston, South Carolina. Survivors include his wife, the former Allene Davis; two daughters, Mrs. James T. (Lollie Mae Joyner) Beverly and Mrs. Betty Ruth (Joyner) Prox, both of Waycross; four sons, Edwin Joyner, Jack Joyner and Manfred Joyner, all of Charleston, South Carolina and J.F. (James Franklin) Joyner, Waycross; two sisters; Mrs. Viola (Joyner) Howard, Lakeworth, Florida and Mrs. A.W. Deding, Illinois; a brother Arch Joyner, Screven; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2pm at Mincy’s Chapel. Burial will be in Kettle Creek Cemetery in Waycross.
