Guthrie, Sr. JESUP - Lewis D. "Buck" Guthrie, Sr., 79, died Jan. 12 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Ware County and a former resident of Manor. He lived Jesup for 37 years. He was a deacon of Anderson Drive Baptist Church, a retired bleacher with ITT Rayonier, a retired member of Local 787 of the United Paperworkers International Union and an Army veteran of World War II. SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Jerri G. and Glynn Collins of Jesup; a son, Lewis D. Guthrie, Jr., Jesup; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Lee and Renee Collins of Thomson and Kipp and Jenny Collins of Thomaston; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Julie and Jeff Roberson of Jesup; two great- grandchildren, Brandon Lee Collins of Thomson and Hunter Roberson of Jesup; and several nieces and nephews. VISITATION: 6:30 p.m. today at Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home in Jesup. FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home, burial in Palmetto Cemetery in Glynn County.
