Booth, 86, of Manor died early this morning in a local hospital after a short illness. A native of Clinch County, she had made her home in the Manor community most of her life. She was the former Miss Sarah Belle Smith, daughter of the late Nathaniel J. Smith and Roxie Ann Strickland Smith. Mrs. Booth was the widow of Henry Afton Booth. She was a member of the Manor United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Lillian Booth Hinson, Cogdell, Mrs. Ila Mae Booth Brooks, and Mrs. Aileen Booth Shinholser, both of Jacksonville; Mrs. Belle Dean Booth Davis and Mrs. Theta Booth James, both of Manor; five sons, W. Edgar Booth, Henry Alton Booth, Leland C. Booth, Hubert T. Booth, all of Manor and J. Ormand Booth, New Orleans, LA; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Weathersbee, Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Lawrence Hinson, Mrs. Tom Riggins and Mrs. Neal Smith, all of Homerville; four brothers, Lonnie Smith, Argyle, Franklin Smith and Eugene Smith, both of Homerville and Henry Smith, Valdosta; 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral will be Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Manor United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Waycross. The body will remain at the funeral home and lie in state at the church Saturday morning one hour prior to the service. Miles-Odum Funeral Home is in charge. John McCall and the Rev. W. D. Corbett officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Gregory Booth, Bill Booth, Talmadge Booth, Lowell Booth, Forest Buchanan and James Duguid.
