He was a life-long resident of Manor, son of the late Henry A. Booth and Sarah Belle Smith Booth. He was a naval stores operator and farmer, retiring five years ago. He was a past director of Farmers Mututal Exchange and a member of Booth Congregational Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Juanita Guthrie Booth, Manor; four brothers, H. Alton Booth, Leland C. Booth and Hubert Booth, all of Manor, and J. Ormand Booth, Kenner, LA; five sisters, Mrs. Lillian Hinson, Cogdell, Mrs. Ila Mae Brooks, Mrs. Aileen Shinholster, both of Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. Belle Dean Davis and Mrs. Theta Ann James, both of Manor; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Booth Congregational Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.
