SAMMONS -- Della T. Sammons of Jacksonville died Tuesday, January 9, 1990. She 
was a native of Ware County, Georgia and a member of the East 44th Street 
Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Homer K. (Kenneth) Sammons and Robert 
W. (Rusty) Sammons; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-
grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday in the East 44th 
Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Carney officiating. Interment in 
Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe 
Avenue.

Additional Comments:
Della was born 30 Sep 1901. Her husband, Louis Homer Sammons, is also buried in 
Evergreen.
