Saulsberry, 1903 Submitted by Barbara Walker Winge Mrs. Saulsberry The Waycross Journal, Tuesday, July 28, 1903 Mrs. Saulsberry Dead Consumption Relieved Her of Long Suffering Yesterday. Mrs. John H. Saulsberry passed away at her home yesterday at 7 o'clock after long suffering with consumption. She had been ill nearly a year with throat affection and tuberculosis and some time it has been evident that she would not live. Her death came peacefully yesterday and relieved her from a dreadful suffering. Mrs. Saulsberry was 62 years old and was originally from Worcester, N. Y. She had lived in Waycross about twenty-two years and was an excellent woman, a member of the First Methodist Church. She leaves a husband and a stepson and two little grand daughters who have lived with her since their mothers died - the daughter of Mrs. Allen Morton and Mrs. Del Saulsberry. Her remains were shipped to Worchester, N. Y., last night for interment. Mr. Saulsberry is very ill, and his son could not leave him, and the remains were shipped to relatives for interment.
