Burial will be in the Mars Hill Cemetery. The family is receiving friends today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Music Funeral Home. She was a Ware County native but resided in Brantley County most of her life. She was a member of Mars Hill Church and a former member of the Redbud Garden Club and local Homemakers Club. She was the widow of Loyce Thomas Woods and daughter of Lennon Woodard and Nancy Strickland Woodard. She died Thursday night at Baptist Village after a brief illness. The survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Owen McDonald of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sons and daughters-in-law, John L. and Patsy Woods and H. Dennis and Rosslyn Woods, all of Waycross, Gerald R. and Mary Woods of Richmond Hill and Fart T. and Pat Woods of Savannah; a sister, Hazel Wingefield of Waycross; nine grand- children and seven great-grandchildren. The family is receiving friends today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Music Funeral Home. Mrs. Helen Gertrude Woodard Woods: Helen Gertrude Woodard Woods, 88, died Thursday (3-2-2000) night in Baptist Village after a brief illness. She was a native of Ware County but had lived most of her life in Brantley County. She was married to the late Loyce Thomas Woods and was daughter of the late Lennon Woodard and Nancy Strickland Woodard. A member of Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church and former member of the Homemakers Club and the Red Bud Garden Club. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Elizabeth McDonald and husband Owen of Jacksonville, FL, 4 Sons: John L. Woods and wife Patsy and H. Dennis Woods and wife Rosslyn both of Waycross, Gerald R. Woods and wife Mary of Richmond Hill, GA, Earl T. Woods and wife Pat of Savannah, GA, 1 Sister: Hazel Wingefield of Waycross, 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday (3-5-2000) in Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery.
