Witnesseth that the said Ansel Parrish for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifteen dollars to him in hand paid by the said Benjamin Sandeford, before the sealing and delivery of these presents, and receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained, sold, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth for himself his heirs and successors bargain, sell release convey and confirm unto the aforesaid Benjamin Sandeford his heirs and assigns a certain tract of parcel of land, situate and lying in the state and County aforesaid, on Long Creek of Ogechee, here the public road from Shivers Mills on Ogeechee to Augusta crosses said creek,. Bounded Northwardly on part of the same survey formerly Jas James. Eastwardly by land surveyed for James Thomas and John Hutchins, south by land vacant at the time of survey, South West by land run for John Edmondson, West by land of Robert Johnson and North West by Laid Johnson’s land. Originally run for Charles McCuller being the most southern part of a tract of three hundred and fifty acres granted to John Torrence the 7th of April 1789 as by register in the Secretary’s Office- having such form and marks natural and artificial as by a plot thereof in the indenture made from John Torrence to Ansel Parish expressed and containing by estimation one hundred and four acres, be the same more or less. Together with all and singular, the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining as unto all the estate right, title, interest, claim and demand of him the said Ansel Parrish heirs, successors and assigns, and every of them of in to or out of the same, To have and to hold the said land with every the appurtenances to the said Benjamin Sandeford, his heirs and assigns and to his and his own and proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said land of one hundred and four acres be the same more or less, the said Ansel Parrish for himself, his heirs and successors to the said Benjamin Sandeford, his heirs and successors ands assigns against the lawful right or title of all and every other person or persons, whatsoever, will hereby warrant and forever defend.
