All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins collins@negia.net Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/warren.htm Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Warren County Deed Book C, page 330 - 331 This Indenture made this the Seventeenth day of February in the year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Seventeen, and in the forty first year of American Independence, between James Willis of the State of Georgia and County of Warren of the one part, and Eliacam Rhodes of the same State and County of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and seventy five dollars to him in hand paid, at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained, sold, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto the said Eliacam Rhodes all that Tract, piece parcel of Land, and premises, situate lying and being in the State of Georgia, and County aforesaid, and on both sides of Joes Creek, containing in the whole One hundred and Sixty acres, more or less, and the said one hundred and Sixty acres of land is bounded as follows, adjoining Joseph Howells land, on the East William Kent on the North, Benjamin Rhodes’ Land on the south; and the said James Willis doth for himself his heirs and assigns, do by these presents warrant and forever defend the said Eliacam Rhodes, and also his heirs and assigns against him, the said James Willis, also his heirs & assigns, and every other person or persons claiming or to claim the said tract of land and premises. In Witness whereof the said James Willis hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year first above written.
