Cason, in Hancock county, Geo., Mr. William Cason, of Warren, in the 98th year of his age. Mr. C. served seven campaigns during the Revolutionary War--had been, at the time of his death, an acceptable member of the Baptist Church more than 70 years. This aged veteran in the cause of God and his country, lived to see the fifth generation; and when under the pressure of infirmities, incident to such an age, death made its approaches, he was not taken by surprise, but was perfectly willing, nay anxious to depart and be with Christ. Few men lived more respected, though many may have been more brilliant as to their mental endowments. Mr. C left six children, and quite a number of grand-children and great-grand- children, to remember his virtues and to deplore his removal.
